job Brief
The incumbent is accountable to facilitate the receiving, moving, clearing of materials from the ports. They also manage the imports through the delivery system efficiently and safely to ensure a smooth and effective distribution process.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Operation Planning:

  • Prepare logistics plans to support all relevant operations within the department.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.

Operation Optimization:

  • Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate all logistics activities to enhance operations.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of shipping regulations, customs and duties requirements, and other related concepts to ensure that the work is done efficiently.
  • Identify problems, analyze alternatives, and develop viable recommendations to reduce bottlenecks.
  • Effective business correspondence and communication.

Approval Tracking:

  • Submit pre-costing to the Finance Department upon the arrival of the shipment.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to make sure all government approvals are in place for inbound shipment prior to arrival.

Reporting:

  • Check and ensure the accuracy of the data and figures of all invoices.
  • Maintain reports and process documents in line with Zahrawi and local customs requirements.

 

Monitoring:

  • Track the cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of products.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conditions of shipment.

External Coordination:

  • Coordinate with all government entities (MOH, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, FANAR & Ministry of Information) to ensure import permits are ready prior to the arrival.
  • Manage all payments related to logistics with external stake holders.
  • Establish and maintain relations with ocean carriers, customs broker, Airlines, Transporters & etc. to ensure the ease of future deliveries.

Negotiation:

  • Confer with Freight forwarders and Airlines to guarantee competitive pricing.

Payments:

  • Process of Customs Bill of Entry.
  • Coordinate all payments related to logistics with external stake holders and make sure that the payment has been received.

Post Purchase:

  • Direct all post purchase order activities until final receipt in the warehouse.
  • Follow up with the clearance agent at the port and arrange for the delivery of goods to the warehouse.
  • Coordinate the delivery of products from the 3rd party logistics warehouse to the main warehouse and the customer.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Additional details: 
    • Candidate should be willing to move to Company Visa
    • Candidate should be based in the UAE
  • Experience: 5 - 6 years of experience
  • Job Specific Skills: Logistics, Supply Chain, Operation Planning.
